The student will be exposed to the full spectrum of plastic surgery while on rotations. Because of the nature of the course, students will be expected to travel between the University of Minnesota Medical Center and affiliated hospitals, including Regions Hospital and other sites where the surgical procedures are done.

Student evaluation will be based on participation in clinic, surgical procedures, and departmental conferences and lectures. The student will gain experience in evaluation and management of hand injuries, breast surgery and breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, wound management, and surgical research.

Please contact the University of Minnesota Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery offices (612-625-0697) two weeks prior to beginning your rotation assignments.
